Clothing printing is a great way to advertise your brand or business. Many people choose this option for workwear because the design will remain crisp and permanent even when washed. In addition, it’s a good option if you’re adding a logo or name to sports apparel. However, this method isn’t cheap and is best suited for simple designs.

Before clothes printing begins, you’ll want to choose the right materials. You’ll need transfer paper (also known as vinyl) and a heat press. Vinyl tapes are usually glossy and have adhesive materials on one side. They are designed to be applied to a garment using a heat press, so you’ll need to know what temperature to use and for how long. Once you have the right materials, you can start creating the design.

Direct-to-garment printing (DTG) is another option for clothes printing. With this technology, you can print anything you want onto the fabric. It uses non-toxic Dupont water-based inks and is ideal for children. You can even create multicolor designs using this method. DTG printing is best suited for small-scale jobs, but can be costly and time-consuming if you need to print many clothes.

Screen printing is the most common method of textile printing, and is usually the most cost-effective option for large orders. Screen printing uses a stencil to print the design onto the textile. High-temperature drying ensures that the ink stays embedded into the textile fibres, ensuring that it will be durable and washable. Embroidery, on the other hand, copies a visual directly into the textile fibres. This method is best suited for custom clothing because it is more durable, and provides a more elegant effect.
